Dear PocketMac for BlackBerry User:
We've recently received reports of customers being unable to sync their BlackBerry handhelds on the new Aluminum MacBook laptops, or their BlackBerry Storm
It appears this is due to a change Apple made to some of the hardware and software for that new model. Apple was good enough to overnight us a loaner MacBook unit so that we can work with them to pinpoint the source of this issue. Furthermore, the new BlackBerry Storm and 8900 devices were not compatible with PocketMac on their first release.
The current version of PocketMac for BlackBerry (4.1.25) includes support for high speed compatible devices such as the BlackBerry Curve 8330 and the Pearls 8110, 8120, 8130, 8220, and the Bold (9000).
As of 11/25/08, a patch is available to support the changes in the new BlackBerry Storm, the 8900 and connections to the new MacBook Aluminum. This patch supports OS 10.4 (Tiger) and OS 10.5 (Leopard).
We'll provide you with a direct download like to the USB Driver. Please download this USB Driver if the following applies on your operating environment:
*You have a NEW Aluminum MacBook.
*You have a BlackBerry Storm 9530
*You have a BlackBerry Bold 9000
Driver Download and Installation Directions:
